Mentoring
In recent years mentoring has been acknowledge as an important part of an individual's development. The people at People Solutions International (Wales) are involved in a wide range of mentoring activities. Demand has been such that two distinct routes have been developed. The first is a general approach to developing individuals in a learning or social context. The second is developing individuals in the context of work organizations in order to help meet organizational objectives.
During their lives many people are involved in supporting others. The
support may be specific, as in the case of the workplace or particular
learning support, or it may be more general for those who need support
to help them through life events. PasspØrt to Mentoring is designed
to allow ‘mentors’ to be more effective in their role as a result of
formal and structured training.
The programme is modular in design. There are four modules, each one deals with a specific area identified as being important to mentors. The common thread running through each module is the psychological principles of Transactional Analysis.
