The development of people is central to all other development whether at organisational level or community level. Our commitment to lifelong learning takes account of the need to meet the changing aspirations of individuals as they progress through the learning process. Constant review of individual goals is therefore an integral part of the development process. The higher we fly, the broader our horizon.
Effective learning serves not only to meet the needs of today, but by increasing personal horizons prepares for the learning of tomorrow. A positive attitude to change equips individuals to deal effectively with future challenges. Stress is a major contributor to general ill-health and subsequent absenteeism. Many researchers agree that stress usually occurs when individuals feel challenged beyond their capabilities.

Whilst it is acknowledged that some individual development can be achieved
in isolation, most of the training and development opportunities devised
by PSI are customised to reflect the environmental or organisational
